Help for Haiti Children’s Shelter

The Ground is no longer shaking in Haiti, but lives remain unsteady

Help for Haiti Help for Haiti Children's Shelter is a ministry of First United Methodist Church
in collaboration with other Bristol congregations and organizations.

You can make a difference in a child's life

The earthquake that devastated Haitl has not gone away. Children are still roaming the streets to find food and living in tents if they are lucky. Through your investment Help for Haiti's Children Shelter provides a home for 10 children who previously lived In a tent city. Children attend church and receive hot meals, clean clothes, showers, a loving home environment and schooling. (Not all children are able to attend school In Haiti.) You can help make their dreams come true by sponsoring one of these children. $100 a month provides these services that help children mature and grow. The destruction of homes and businesses has been more than physical - It is also emotional. When you Invest in these children, you are rebuilding Haiti one child at a time. This is important work. Remember: Jesus was one person and he changed the world! It is In his name that we reach out to the children of Haiti.

Children's Shelter

From a tent... to a home - The Children's Shelter at Maisgate 12, Port-au-Prince.

School

Your $100 provides a month of hot nourishing meals, a dry bed, friends, caring adults, and school for a child who otherwise would be living in a tent city. Every child needs food, shelter, and education - but not every child in Haiti has it. Many live in tents, must scrounge for food, and cannot go to school.
